From Tabitha:
If you knew Tim, even for a short time, you definitely have a "Tim Cole" story. Tim was such a fun guy with a sharp sense of humor and a deep love of animals and conservation.
I first met Tim around 12 years ago when I attended his Animal Control Herpetology Familiarization class. During that 4 hour class, I was struck by Tim's deep passion for reptiles and how he was able to use humor in his educational programs to help inspire even the most fearful student.
After class I spoke with him briefly and found out that he lived in the county that I worked in and I could call him anytime I needed help. This led to a long friendship and working relationship where we frequently worked together on cases both big and small.
I will never forget our long talks, his patience with my endless questions, the knowledge he imparted on me, and even our debates about laws and best practices. He was a dear friend, mentor, and had a deep and long lasting impact on me and my career.
I only hope that through Austin Reptile Service, I can help to keep a small piece of his life's work alive. He certainly will never be forgotten.
